What is QR 678?

QR 678 is a hair restoration therapy which is better than the stem cell and the PRP therapy for hair loss. Hair loss and hair thinning affects people in more ways than one and affects not only their mental well being but also various other aspects of the life. QR678 is now a popular treatment and an article was also published about in the Times of India. QR678 is a hair regrowth formulation injection which has growth factors which can stop and reverse hair loss and cause regrowth of hair. This is a novel mixture of hair growth factors which has been jointly invented by Dr. Debraj Shome and Dr. Rinky Kapoor and it has a US patent.

Dr. Rinky Kapoor is a famous dermatologist in India who is currently practicing in Mumbai.

The outcome from the QR678 injections is more advanced as compared to other hair growth treatments like the PRP therapy and the stem cell therapy. The difference between the surgical hair transplant treatment and QR678 is that in surgical hair transplant the hair is moved from one spot to another on the scalp while the QR678 mixture causes follicles to develop hair and is very effective in alopecia, male pattern baldness and female pattern baldness.

Though, today a variety of treatments for hair loss are available which range from topical medication to surgical hair transplants, there is still a requirement for more effective treatment. The problem with the current variety of treatments is that they do not suit many people or the outcome of the treatment is not favorable for many patients.

Hair loss is an obvious aesthetic issue in addition to being a hindrance to the social life of a person. Let us have a look at what a growth factor is and how it can be a suitable treatment for everyone.

Growth factors is a mixture of ingredients which are present naturally on our scalp and which a play a very important role in triggering cell development, cell differentiation and healthy cell growth. Growth factor has to be present for the tissue to develop. Therefore they are important for cell development and division and also for acting as receptors for the target tissues.

The growth factor was discovered while a separate study was being conducted by Dr. Shome on rats for a nano molecule medication system for retinoblastoma. When the medicine was injected near the eyes of the mice, it was observed that the hair near the eyes of the mouse disappeared leading Dr. Shome to a conclusion that some regional factors must be responsible for hair growth. As the medication was not being injected into the system but near the eye, the carboplatin in the injection could not have affected the system. This was quite a startling discovery as it was previously believed that internal factors of human body were solely responsible for the hair growth. This led to the conclusion that despite being completely healthy, because of regional growth factors, the hair growth could be affected.

Finding out the exact growth factors that cause the hair growth took years of hard work and research. The research was then started to find out the proteins that are present in the scalp which are responsible for development. After various findings and exclusion analysis, five growth factors were found to be responsible for the hair growth. After the five growth factors were isolated, the problem was to process them outside the human body. This required genetic engineering in the lab. Various proportions and ratios were arranged and the mixture was manufactured so that it could directly be injected into the follicles. This process took almost ten years to finish. To test the growth mixture tests were performed on volunteers which from suffering from mild to moderate hair loss. After the pilot trials the verification of results had to be done. In almost 750 patients, a random medical trial was done to assess the potency of the new molecule in different ratios and at varying treatment frequencies with a placebo hypodermic injection. After 6 months of continuous treatment, the results from the trial were astonishing. Around 90% of patients observed hair growth of more than 80%. The tests for growth factor were done for over a year and after the test results it was found that three growth factors were responsible for causing the hair growth in the patients. After the test observation, these growth factors were certified and the compound was named as QR678.

There are three phases of hair growth on our scalp. These phases are known as anagen, catagen and the telogen phase. The anagen phase is the development phase, the catagen phase is the involution phase and the telogen phase is the dormant or the resting phase. The follicle in which the hair grows is controlled by the interaction between the dermis and the epidermis layers of skin. The growth factors which are naturally present in the skin act as a catalyst for triggering this development phase. The hair follicles have a stem tissue which receive the signal for the development of hair and cause the hair shaft to grow downwards in to the skin.

The nutrition for the hair growth comes from a bunch of capillaries and blood vessels from around the hair follicle. All the important nutritive ingredients like the vitamins, amino acids and the minerals are provided from these capillaries for the development of the hair. The cells around the hair follicle grow very quickly if they receive adequate nutrition from the body. The factors which provide the signal which stimulates the hair growth are what have been discovered jointly by Dr. Debraj Shome and Dr. Rinky Kapoor and is known as QR678 growth factor.

Years of research and hard work and perseverance has finally led to the development of a miraculous hair growth factor which can change the lives of millions of people who are tired of hair loss and suffering from baldness. QR678 is completely safe for both men and women.

The QR678 hair growth invention has been awarded an US patent, from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in 2017, making this one of the very few hair care pharmaceutical products invented in India, to receive an US patent award.
